Running from April 2020 to July 2021, the Junior Filmmakers Film competition for Schools will work with more than 2400 schools in the UK to make films which will be placed in competition.
Over the course of the year more than 20,000 children will be learning filmmaking skills which include story development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, crewing, casting, camera techniques and filming and editing.
Films will be entered into regional competitions and judged by industry professionals.
Winning films across the regions will be entered into the national competition where the best film will be announced and prizes and awards given at a special gala premiere in the heart of London.
Registration is open to all schools in the Uk although entry will be closed after two thousand, four hundred schools have registered.
Films will be categorised as primary and secondary schools and will compete within their category.
All schools will receive guidance, mentorship, learning materials and filming equipment from Junior Filmmakers.
Schools will have to recruit film leads from within their schools to liase with Junior Filmmakers.
Registration is open now and participation is based on a first come basis.
Registration fee is £200
Registration closes 1st January 2020.
