This project will work with young people to produce a total five films which highlight the dangers of knife crime and gang violence.
The filmmakers will learn key information about knife crime and gang violence by having talks from law enforcement officers, from the victims of gang violence and knife crime and online research.
They will learn research, script development and writing, production, scheduling, budgeting, crewing, casting, camera and editing skills. They would also develop self confidence, presentation and collaborative skills.
The films will be premiered to filmmakers, their families, friends, stakeholders such as law enforcement and the Milton Keynes community. The films will be hosted online and distributed to schools for educational purposes.
